Mrs McPherson is the Director of Studies and has held the position of Head of Science. An outstanding teacher of Biology, Physics, Mathematics and junior school Science,  she has taught overseas and in other Cairns schools before coming to TAS. She is an enthusiastic supporter of independent project work by students and has seen her work with these students recognised by the CSIRO. She also has a strong interest in assessment.
