# Class times and Bookings:

All bookings can be made through “Reception”
During office hours. Please book early to avoid disappointment.
 

# Public Holidays:

TAS, Aquatic Centre, will close for public holidays. If you are in doubt please check with our office or the notice board.

 

Infant Aquatic Program (Parent and Bub)

(Wherever possible classes are split by age grouping)

 

Infants aged from 6 months are introduced to an aquatic environment through our parents
and babies classes. These classes aim to steadily build a child's confidence and awareness
of the aquatic environment through play.

 

1. Babies:

Encourage Parent & Baby to feel secure in the water
Numbers: 6 children per class; 30min classes; 6 mornings per week (Monday to Saturday); 9.00 am; 9.30 am and 10.00 am

 

2. Dads & Bubs:

Times for Dads and Bubs learn and explore the water together.
Numbers: 6children per class; 30min classes; Saturday (only): 8.00 am and 8.30 am

 

3. Toddlers:

Encourage the Baby to explore the water more independently
Numbers: 5 children per class; 30 min classes; 6 mornings per week (Monday to Saturday) 9.00 am; 9.30 am and 10.00 am

 

Learn To Swim

(Monday to Friday: Morning and Afternoon; Saturday: Morning)
 

Level 1              (3 years & Up)

The next level of water confidence and safety is the aim of this level, and
Increasing the toddler’s independence in the aquatic skills
Numbers: 5 children per class; 30 min classes; 6 mornings per week (Monday to Saturday)

 

Level 2              (3 years & Up)

Start of independence learning with face in the water, kicking and floating.
Numbers: 5 children per class; 30 min classes; 6 mornings per week (Monday to Saturday)

 

Level 3             (3 years & Up)

Starts using arms and floating on back plus kicking.
Numbers:6 children per class; 30 min classes; 6 mornings per week (Monday to Saturday)

 

Level 4              (4 years & Up)

Streamlining and kicking using arms and floating on back.
Numbers: 6 children per class; 30 min classes; 6 mornings per week (Monday to Saturday)

 

Level 5              (4 years & Up)

Learning to breath, treading water and backstroke
Numbers: 6 children per class; 30 min classes; 6 mornings per week (Monday to Saturday)

 

Level 6              (4 years & Up)

Swimming 10 meters, breathing, backstroke and breaststroke.
30 min classes; 6 mornings per week (Monday to Saturday)

 

Stroke Development

Level 7              (4 years & Up)

Develop Freestyle and Backstroke for 20 meters.
Practice circling in lane for advance swimming. Following directions from teacher.
45 min classes; 5 Afternoons per week (Monday to Friday); Saturday morning.

 

Level 8              (4 years & Up)

Develop Freestyle and Backstroke for 20 meters. Freestyle with bi-lateral breathing
Develop breaststroke, backstroke and diving into pool.
45 min classes; 5 Afternoons per week (Monday to Friday); Saturday morning.

 

Level 9              (4 years & Up)

Swimming Freestyle(bi-lateral breathing), Backstroke for 25 meters.
Doing breaststroke, and diving into pool.
60 min classes; 5 Afternoons per week (Monday to Friday); Saturday morning.

 

Level 10              (4 years & Up)

Swimming Freestyle(bi-lateral breathing), Backstroke and Breaststroke,  for 25 meters. and develop butterfly stroke.
60 min classes; 5 Afternoons per week (Monday to Friday); Saturday morning.
