Bruce Highway Upgrade
1. Night works – Bruce Highway – from Wednesday 6 November – between 7pm and 5am - Bruce Highway near Anderson Road , will be under traffic control in both directions from 7pm to 5am. At times, traffic may be diverted along the newly constructed service roads and speed reductions may be in place for the safety of workers. These works are required for construction of the pedestrian bridge.
2. Changed traffic conditions – Ray Jones Drive/Rigg Street Intersection – from Thursday 7 November - Intersection of Ray Jones Drive and Rigg Street will be under a new alignment from Thursday 7 November. Detour signage will be in place to provide motorists with information about changed traffic conditions. These works are required to install new electrical infrastructure. Road users may experience some minor delays during peak periods.
3. Night works – Bruce Highway – Wednesday 13 November to Wednesday 27 November – between 7pm and 5am – Bruce Highway, between the interchange linking Forest Gardens and White Rock and the northern overpass will be under traffic control in both directions from 7pm to 5am. At times the highway may be reduced to single-lane operation and the speed will be reduced to 40km/h for the safety of workers. These works are required for road construction and permanent linemarking.
4. Changed traffic conditions – Bruce Highway southbound near Anderson Road – Bruce Highway southbound, just north of Anderson Road is reduced to two lanes until approximately late November. These vital works are required to correct surface levels for the permanent alignment. Road users may experience some minor delays during peak periods.

2013 Sports Awards Recipients Announced
The annual TAS Sports Awards was held on Monday 28th October November in the Bishop Centre for Performing Arts.
Congratulations to all award recipients and to all who have participated in sport during the year.
TAS also recognises the commitment and dedication of staff and parents who coach and manage teams and those who have supported the TAS sport programme during 2013.
TAS Year 9 Journey 2013 - Photo Galleries
Students are currently attending the "Year 9 Journey 2013", the flagship experience within the TAS outdoor education curriculum in terms of its length, educational outcomes and through the personal growth experienced by all students who take part.
Every effort is made to provide images of all students on the"Year 9 Journey 2013", however given the nature of the programme and its remote location this is not always possible. Photo galleries will be updated when possible.
TAS NAPLAN Results Information 2013
TAS Student reports for the National Assessment Programme - Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN Testing), conducted in May 2013, are available for students in years 3,5,7 and 9.
TAS has performed well above the State average across all areas, and most significantly, also well above the National average.
To assist parents in the interpretation of these reports and to answer questions concerning the NAPLAN testing, please refer to the following sources of information provided by the Australian Curriculum Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA):
TAS Junior School Parent Teacher Interviews
Parent-Teacher interviews will be conducted for students in Years Prep to Year 7 on Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th September in the TAS Bishop Centre for Performing Arts.
Interviews will commence at 3:35pm and conclude at 6:50pm on both evenings. Interviews will be of 15 minutes duration.
Interviews can easily be booked (as of Thursday 5th September) using the internet-based booking system, Parent Teacher On-Line (PTO).
