New TAS Sports Uniform 2014
TAS is excited to introduce a new sport uniform for Years 3-12 from the beginning of 2014. The old sport uniform will not be available for purchase after 2013 and all students must be wearing the new uniform from the beginning of 2016, with 2014 and 2015 being a phase-in period.
Both shirt and shorts will sell for $37 each. To buy identical items off the shelf at full retail price would cost $79.95 each.
A sample of the new uniform (pictured left) is on display at the TAS Uniform & Bookshop and will be on sale at the start of 2014.
(Please note that although not pictured, a specific women's cut beginning at size 6 womens will be available.)
The polo shirt is made from Evaporex material, which is lightweight for maximum comfort and breathability to keep cool during physical activity. The 180 gsm material is also anti-bacterial, hydrophilic to keep you dry and has a soft touch face for added comfort.
Kooga has been chosen as the supplier of the new TAS Sport uniforms. Kooga has been a strong brand in Australia and internationally since 1999 and as of November 2013 they are re-branding themselves under the new BLK logo worldwide (short for Black Label Kooga). Kooga/BLK continue to supply uniforms to many top level sporting teams including the Wallabies, Netball Victoria, The Brisbane Lions and the Melbourne Storm. They have supplied sport team uniforms to TAS teams over the past three years to now include rugby, netball, basketball and several touring teams.
The shorts are made from woven polyester. They are strong but extremely lightweight for maximum comfort. They too are anti-bacterial and have a soft touch face for added comfort. They have zippered side pockets for storage security and zippered rear pocket for additional security of items such as keys. They contain a lycra gusset for maximum comfort, stretch and flexibility.
